Enterprise Data Intelligence Package

Enterprise Data Intelligence Package (EDIP) is an on-demand automated append to help gain a deeper understanding of donor characteristics by overlaying demographic, wealth, spending habits, philanthropic preferences, and proprietary modeling scores. This information will help with targeted marketing, analysis, and anticipate future behaviors.

Below is an outline of the fields for the Enterprise Data Intelligence Package (EDIP). If you do not track some of the required fields, a column representing the field must still be present in the file. The format of your file submissions can be custom but must remain in consistent field order once the initial programming is complete for your Enterprise Data Intelligence Package process.

The file must be in comma-separated, tab-delimited, or pipe-delimited format (.txt). The file name must be no longer than 20 characters and may not contain spaces or special characters. The file name and field order cannot change once the automation has been completed. The file may be submitted as often as once daily. After the file is created it must be uploaded to the Blackbaud FTP account setup for Enterprise Data Intelligence Package processing in the EDIP/IN folder.

Required fields are:

  • Unique ID

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Home Address Line 1

  • Home Address Line 2

  • Home City

  • Home State

  • Home Zip Code

After completing the contract submission, a Project Coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Set-Up call. During the Set-up call, we will determine the following:

  • Review your contract details

  • Determine which contact at your organization will be sending and/or receiving data files

  • Review incoming file layout to understand what fields are required for a successful append

  • Provide information on location/login of our FTP site (secured file locations for drop-off)

  • Determine Consulting needs

Once the append is complete, the following files will be posted in the Out folder of the submitting contact’s FTP folder:

  1. [Name_of_Input_File].rpt.xlsx- This is an Excel report that outlines the number of records and append rate for each field appended to your data file

  2. [Name_of_Input_File].ta.txt- This file contains all submission fields and resulting appended fields.

  3. OnDemand Field Description.xlsx - This is your comprehensive Data Dictionary that contains the following grid of information.

All returned fields were determined using predictive modeling, directly measured data at the household level, or appended financial, behavioral, demographic and econometric data on the individual (where available), household and zip+4 basis.
