Instructions on preparing your data file for a Advanced Duplicate Pairing project:
At a minimum, we need the following fields from the database exported into individual columns:
- Unique ID (Import ID)
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Last Name
- Suffix
- Address Line 1
- Address Line 2
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Email Address
- Any other fields needed for master selection or that the client would like to be returned with the results file
Warning: The files must be in .csv, pipe delimited, or Excel format.
Sample Master Selection Criteria:
Selecting the criteria to determine which record in a set of duplicate records is the “Master Record” (the record into which all duplicate records are merged) is an important part of the Advanced Duplicate Pairing process. These criteria should reflect which fields are most important to your organization and prioritize them when comparing the master/duplicate sets. In the event that multiple records meet the first criterion, we proceed down the criteria list until we have one record. In the event that we reach the end of your criteria and there are still multiple records from which to choose, the system randomly selects a record.
